The hidden café, Ampersand Specialty Coffee & Co-workplace

Recently I have been receiving a lot of messages like "where is this café?", "which part of KK?" I had never seen it, can you send me the location?" and etc. So, I had made up my mind to write a few paragraphs for this corner.

This spot was actually taken from Ampersand Specialty Coffee & Co-workplace. It is located at Lot 23, Jalan Berjaya 3 | Bandaran Berjaya, Kota Kinabalu 88000, Malaysia (somewhere around the 7 11 opposite Shell Plaza)

Well, why hidden? Because there's no signboard (so far none, but in the future I'm not sure) obviously showing this café and it's kind of blended in with the shops beside. So, people who want to pay a visit, it may need a little more attention.

So this is the entrance of the café. Simple one with a smoking area aside. There is another door right behind the café. You may go in from there too.

As you go in, you can see the counter top. There are plenty of cakes inside display shelves. The spot on right (green shirt guy) can fit two person. If you want to see how the barista make coffee, quite a nice view from there. *wink*

The environment of this café is comfortable and quiet. I feel that they should put in more ornament and also add more spaces for customers. To make it more unique. Like paintings, and nice jazz music.

A person like me who always need a perfect spot to work, second floor of this place is recommended. It is more like a tiny workplace with uncomplicated design.

Here comes the highlight of the this café after all. Their 'jiu pai' is black sesame latte. It's hardly to find this combination. No harm having a try on it, maybe something different will be awaiting for you? 

We had ordered a Tiramisu and ice latte. The cake is creamy and a bit too sweet due to the caramel on it and the latte isn't that rich too.  Anyway, it is still acceptable and all on my personal opinion.

For the food and beverages part, I would say it is not that appetizing but above average at least. But but but, if you are looking for a place to chill and hang out, this place can be listed.
